Introduction The purpose of the union is ensuring the labor can get their rights, such as minimum wages, working environment, and pensions and so on. The union supports labor that when a company gets profit, labor can get their reasonable benefit back. The trend of an organization is management in the twenty-first century. A company thinks an employee is part of assets in the organization. Therefore, the Human Resource Management is more valuable than the union to manage the employee. History of Union and Human Resources The history is a track shows the development of unions and Human Resources. In the past, the original labor unions happened in the nineteenth century which was the Industry Revolution in Europe. In that time, the employer wanted to get more profit and productivity, and most of the unfair issues were pay lower wages, work overtime, hire child labor, ignore safety environment and discriminate women. For those reason, labor joined the union to have their voice and protected their rights. The social problem has been changing smoothly; labors were more education and the governments attached importance to the laws. Since 1935, the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) was published in the United States. The purpose for the NLRA is to protect the rights of employees and make employers encourage collective bargaining.
